Find your API key - People Data Labs Documentation

Every PDL API request needs an API key. Your key lives in the API Dashboard.

Prerequisites

A PDL account. If you don’t have one, sign up for free.

Find your key

Sign in to the API Dashboard.
Click Account > API Keys.
Copy the Active Key.

To pass the key in a request, see Authentication.

Your API key is secret. PDL bills credits based on usage associated with it, so don’t share it or commit it to source control.

Replace or add keys

If your key is exposed, roll it to generate a replacement. To create, roll, or archive keys, see Manage your API keys.
