A 404 response with not_found means PDL found no record matching your request. It isn’t a system error, and PDL doesn’t bill credits for it*.
Exception: PDL doesn’t bill credits for 404 responses, except on the Person Identify API, which bills one credit per request whether or not it finds a match.

Enrichment and Identify APIs

  • Add identifiers. Send more of what you know, such as name, company, location, email, or profile URL. More inputs give the matching model more to work with.
  • Remove blank parameters. Send only fields that have values.
  • Lower min_likelihood (Enrichment APIs only). A high threshold returns only strong matches and may return none. See min_likelihood for the Person Enrichment API and Company Enrichment API.

  • Broaden your query. Remove filters one at a time to find which one excludes every result.
